Aman holds a BBA-LLB from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and has completed a certified course on Electricity Regulation and Commercial Aspects of the Indian Power Sector from the National Power Training Institute.
Location
Aman brings over eight years of litigation and regulatory experience, with a focus on energy law, commercial arbitration, and regulatory disputes. Aman regularly appears before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL), and the Central and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions. Aman has acted in several landmark cases involving tariff determination, open access surcharges, change-in- law claims, and contractual disputes in the power sector.
He advises both generating companies and distribution licensees on complex regulatory frameworks under the Electricity Act, 2003, and related commercial arrangements involving coal supply, transmission access, and bidding guidelines.
Prior to litigation practice, Aman was part of the core legal team at JSW Energy Ltd., where he negotiated power purchase agreements and led dispute resolution efforts in arbitrations and appellate forums. He also served in the litigation and risk team at HDFC ERGO, advising on fraud and enforcement matters in high- value insurance claims.
